Well hello there my friends!
It is yet another soggy, post hurricane Monday and ya’ll this is getting outta hand! I hope you are all safe and the power has been restored in your neck of the woods. We were in Georgia last week visiting and having SENIOR PICTURES made when Michael decided to blow into town. Mercifully the power was only out a few hours and the one tree that did fall at Momma’s fell parallel to the house. Thank you Lord for your hedge of protection. The up side is fall fell and I do love the colder temperatures (ya’ll might have to remind me of that if I get snowed in this winter) and rainy cool weather is just screaming for soup!!! I actually had to rework this menu this week because I had soup for 3 nights?!?! Not sure the family wants that much soup at a time. I could eat soup all winter myself.
Ok, I know ya’ll are thinking quit your jabbering Dianna and give me some ideas for supper! Alrighty then, here ya go!
- Monday: Tuscan Garlic Chicken, with butter and garlic angel hair pasta and cauliflower bites
- Tuesday: Tortilla soup (WAIT! HOLD THE PHONE!! That’s chicken 2 days in a row…Hmmmm??) scratch that and let’s go with taco soup. See that’s why we use the pencil.
- Wednesday: Zuppa Toscana
- Thursday: Pork loin, baked sweet taters and mac n’ cheese (well, now we are having pork 2 days in a row, BAH! the family will just have to deal.)
- Friday: Out to eat in Bowling Green
- Saturday: who ever can guess?!?! maybe home, maybe still in Bowling Green
- Sunday: By the time we get to Sunday I may just want cereal. Hey, that’s some real life truth, or I have been known to eat cake on Sunday. This is a safe place and we will eat cake with no judgement here.
At some point for lunch more than likely, the left over pork loin will become pork fried rice and these yummy soups will keep me from starving at lunchtime.
