Hey Friends, I hope all is well in your neck of the woods. We’ve had some busy days here in the Phillips house. We kicked off high school swim on Saturday and it was a great day, the 17th is also my birthday so it was fun to celebrate with our swim family.
Shew, I was a tired girl by this point but whip cream in your nose will surely wake you up! I knew it was coming and tried to stop it but alas it was of no use. The hubby thought that it was hilarious and so did our friends that were still there. NOW that was a HappiMESS!!!
This week is, of course, Thanksgiving and the yummy details of that day will appear in your inbox soon (well, it will if you subscribe, would you subscribe, won’t you be my neighbor?) but we gotta eat the rest of the week too. ((SMILE)) With all the heavy duty cooking coming on Thursday I’m planning to keep it simple the rest of the week. What I’m gently trying to tell ya’ll is to keep expectations low for Monday to Wednesday and hopefully Turkey Day will make up for my slackness. Hehe!!
So for what its worth here’s the plan…
- Monday: Pizza
- Tuesday: Tacos (this means icky & picky will have cheese quesadillas) with Mexi-Rice
- Wedneday: the Pinterest fav crack chicken
- Thursday: Its thanksgiving ya’ll
- Friday: leftover day, seriously is anything better than leftover Turkey Day?!?
- Saturday: homemade chicken noodle (could be turkey noodle depending on the leftover situation) and grilled cheese.
- Sunday: That man of mine better take me out to dinner after church!
Saturday is our local Christmas Parade so that will tie up most of the afternoon as both of our girls will be participating in the festivities. It’s supposed to rain so fingers crossed that doesn’t happen cause ain’t nothing worse than a soggy Santa!
Ok, friends that’s enough of my jabbering I’ve got to get some things done in this house. Ya’ll have a good week and I’ll talk to you soon. Make a mess with your family and friends this week, its good for heart.
